In februari 2005 opende de winkel van Books 4 Life haar deuren op de campus van Tilburg University, we bestaan dus 20 jaar! Een goede reden voor enkele feestelijke activiteiten.
Open Dag
Op vrijdag 14 maart van 10.00 – 16.00 u organiseren we speciaal voor de studenten, medewerkers en omwonenden van Tilburg University een open dag. Andere geïnteresseerden zijn ook welkom. We trakteren de bezoekers op koffie of thee met iets lekkers en voor de eerste 30 (betalende) klanten hebben we een leuke goodiebag. Studenten van de Rooi Pannen hebben speciaal voor ons jubileum een paar objecten van boeken gemaakt die in de winkel te bewonderen zijn.
Hoe vind je onze winkel?
- Begin bij het Koopmansgebouw (Faculteit Economie, 12 verdiepingen), loop daar binnen.
- Links voor je zie je de ingang van de ‘glazen gang’; loop deze helemaal door.
- Je komt nu in het Cobbenhagengebouw. Neem de trap naar beneden die je schuin voor je ziet.
- Onderaan de trap de deur door, rechts vind je de winkel (C 074).
Talkshow in Bibliotheek de LocHal
Op zondag 23 maart, de laatste dag van de Boekenweek, organiseert Bibliotheek de LocHal samen met Books 4 Life Tilburg een speciale Talkshow-editie van ‘John & Paul hebben woorden’. Het thema van de Boekenweek ‘Je moerstaal’ staat hierin centraal. We hebben een aantal interessante gasten en ook aan muziek is gedacht. Ton Wilthagen (Tilburg University, hoogleraar Arbeidsmarkt) opent het programma.
De talkshow is van 14.00-15.30 u en is gratis bij te wonen; aanmelden is gewenst. Meer informatie is beschikbaar via de website van de LocHal. Op die webpagina vind je links onderaan een knop om je aan te melden.

Aan het eind van het programma zullen de jaarlijkse donaties aan de landelijke en de lokale goede doelen worden overhandigd. De goede doelen zijn Amnesty International, Armoedefonds, Oxfam Novib, Stichting Broodpater Poels en Stichting Yayasan Setetes Embun.
Books 4 Life Tilburg is celebrating its 20th anniversary!
In March 2005, the Books 4 Life shop opened its doors at the Tilburg University campus, so this month we are celebrating our 20th anniversary! A good reason for some festive activities, to which we would like to invite you.
Open Day
On Friday 14 March from 10:00 – 16:00, we are organising an Open Day especially for students, employees and neighbours of Tilburg University. Other people who are interested are also welcome. We will treat visitors to coffee or tea and sweets and the first 30 (paying) customers will receive a nice goodie bag. Students from de Rooi Pannen have made some objects from books especially for our anniversary, which can be admired in the shop.
How to find our shop:
- Walk into the Koopmans building (Faculty of Economics, 12 floors)
- In front of you on the left, you will see the entrance to the ‘glass corridor’; walk all the way through it.
- You now enter the Cobbenhagen building. To the left in front of you there are stairs going down, take the stairs.
- At the bottom of the stairs go through the door, the shop is on your right (C 074).
Talkshow in the LocHal Library
On Sunday 23 March, the last day of Dutch Book Week, the LocHal Library together with Books 4 Life Tilburg will organise a special Talkshow edition of ‘John & Paul hebben woorden’. It will focus on the Book Week theme ‘Your mother tongue’. We have some interesting guests and music has also been arranged. Ton Wilthagen (Tilburg University, professor of Labour Market) opens the event.
The talkshow (only in Dutch!) is from 14:00-16:00 and is free to attend; registration is recommended. More information is available on the LocHal website. On that webpage, at the bottom left, you will find a button to sign up.
